Denise is delighted to join the healing professionals at Back to Life Wellness Center. Denise is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist, licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and nationally by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).
Denise Cicuto relocated her acupuncture practice from Los Angeles to the Bay area in 2007. Graduating with a Masters of Science and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles Denise specializes in a blend of traditional Chinese acupuncture combined with the ability to prescribe herbs to support overall health and well-being.
Denise specializes in Immunity and Women's Health issues. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are helpful in immune-related conditions from common colds and allergies to more chronic conditions such as HIV. Women find relief from painful periods, irregular periods, difficulty conceiving, PCOS, endometriosis, night sweats, hot flashes, and changes in libido. Denise also often works with people suffering from anxiety and depression.
Denise devotes her practice to a holistic approach to acupuncture and Chinese medicine and treats the “whole” person, not just the disease or condition. With acupuncture and other traditional Chinese treatments she seeks to restore the natural flow of the body and return the body to harmony.
